The beating heart of the legacy

We are the inheritors of the wisdom of three generations past. The caretakers of the legacy we will leave for three generations to come. This holistic view guides everything we do, inspiring us to consider the long-term impacts of our actions on the earth, our communities, and future generations.

By honoring this interconnectedness and thinking beyond our immediate needs, we strive to create a world that is sustainable, harmonious, and just for all.

Our programs represent the heart of Earth Legacy’s mission, embodying our commitment to Indigenous wisdom, environmental stewardship, and cultural diversity. Language revitalization projects are not just about preserving words; they’re about safeguarding entire ways of life, ensuring that future generations can access the deep knowledge embedded in Indigenous languages. Our Indigenous knowledge workshops bridge the gap between traditional wisdom and contemporary challenges, offering insights that can guide us toward a more sustainable future. Cultural heritage preservation is not merely about preserving artifacts; it’s about honoring the stories and traditions that connect us to our past and shape our future. Our environmental conservation initiatives are a testament to our belief in living in harmony with the land, recognizing that our well-being is intrinsically linked to the health of the planet. Community engagement projects strengthen the bonds that unite us, fostering a sense of belonging and shared responsibility. Supporting Indigenous artisans is a way of preserving cultural practices and empowering communities economically. Education and awareness campaigns are crucial for inspiring action and fostering understanding. Together, these programs form a tapestry of interconnected efforts aimed at creating a world where Indigenous knowledge is respected, the environment is protected, and cultural diversity is celebrated.

By breaking down barriers and providing opportunities for all youth to participate, Earth Legacy is creating a more equitable and inclusive future for all.

As we look to the future, it is clear that the work of Earth Legacy is more important than ever. By empowering youth to become custodians of the earth and stewards of their culture, Earth Legacy is not only shaping tomorrow's leaders but also ensuring that Indigenous knowledge and traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.

Stories should never be stuck behind a paywall. Stories should never be restricted, or not shared because of financing. The art industry, key word there being industry, means it has to engage in a marketplace. Wrong as that is, it is the way it is. So how do we operate within this system, whilst still being able to eat? For me, there is more than visual stories to be told—it's about nurturing a world woven with purpose and positivity, with right story.
